This course, intercultural communication, combines classroom learning and online learning.
This course, cross-cultural communication (also frequently referred to as intercultural communication) is to look at how people from different cultural background endeavor to communicate. Focusing on national culture level, it will examine the influence of culture on communication. Through lecture, discussion, film, and case study, the course aims to help the participants to: a. understand the definition culture and its influence on communication b. learn how culture shapes visions of the world and ways of communicating. c. analyze problems of cross-cultural contact in order to understand what happens, why, and possible solutions. d. apply knowledge of culture and communication to life in a multicultural society.
